The WCA is a volunteer organization that is involved in a number of community interests. Its members and committees are currently involved with traffic, planning, preservation, and beautification.

For years it has been sponsoring the Waterford Independence Day celebrations which include a parade, games, potluck dinner, and fireworks (if enough donations are received). It also works with the Waterford PTO in its Halloween activities.

Another long time involvement has been with the beautification of the village through the planting of trees along its roads and area roadside cleanup.

Advocacy and information gathering for civic concerns is an ongoing effort involving the continuance of small community schools, planning and zoning matters related to the historic village, adequate water supply, traffic, etc.
